IRISH VIBES

From day 1 of our first collaborations 3/4 years ago, and even more after photographing their wedding in 2023, I had this plan in mind of organizing (one day) an Irish Shoot with Sean & Alyssa. As the opportunity showed up with Trinity Swing Dance Event we decided to keep a full day post event to explore 2 different locations I had envisioned for this shoot.

The first location I wanted was a ruined castle, Ireland and Northern Ireland are known for these and I couldn’t have dreamt of a better location than the one my friend Sharon had recommended me: Dunseverick Castle.

The 2nd location, Giant Causeway is more famous and well preserved, it was also Ideal as I wanted  us to be able to chill and warm up in a nice Pub/restaurant between the 2 shoots. Giant Causeway, if you’ve never been, has this very unique hexagonal rock formations similar to the ones to can find in north Scotland and Iceland. The way Giant Causeway shape is perfect for breathtaking pictures in a very raw environment.

Dividing the day into 2 distinct shoots helped us refocus and take the time we needed to get some energy as the cold weather mixed with wind really had us on our knees by the end of the day. The result of this shoot is exactly what I had imagined, and I’m very happy we managed to make it happen this year !
